Our day tour is suitable for all fitness levels. The rainforest walk features an optional self-guided section, which includes approximately 200 bush steps and is approximately 2 kilometres in length, suitable for most people to complete. If you don’t feel you can complete this, however, there is an option to take a wheelchair-accessible walk at Central Station instead.
Getting in and out of the bus may be difficult for some people. The first step up can be quite high, and the exact height varies depending on where the bus is parked due to the sand car parks. Of course, we are happy to assist if you require.
The overnight tour requires a moderate level of fitness and mobility and is suitable for people who can hike 3-5 km a day over uneven terrain and sandy tracks.
If you are unsure or would like to discuss further, please call our reservations team.
Due to child vehicle restraint laws in QLD and the limited availability of anchor points for child booster seats, we unfortunately cannot accommodate children under the age of 5 who require a booster seat with an anchor. For children over 5 years, we ask parents to consider if the tour is suitable for your particular child due to the length of the day, the length of time spent on the bus and the limited amenities for attending to children throughout the day. If you have young children and would like to learn more, please don’t hesitate to contact our office before booking. For children 5 years and over requiring a booster seat with a lap belt restraint, please inform our team at the time of booking so we can confirm availability.
