The Tour: 

A scenic drive with spectacular views of Cairns will take you over the Coastal Mountain Range to Copperlode Dam for great picture opportunities. We then access an exclusive 4WD experience through the Clohesy River and its World Heritage listed rainforest-boardwalk. Next we move on to Jaques Coffee Plantation for our morning tea and an overview of coffee production with a short film presentation. Now it time to visit Kuranda Village, options here are to browse the markets, visit the Koala Gardens or see the Butterfly Sanctuary (Your Expense). After lunch it time to join Skyrail Rainforest Cableway for a spectacular journey at the end of which your driver/guide will greet you for your return to your accommodation.

Tour Details

Our tour starts with pickup from your accommodation in one of our luxury small-group 6 seater 4WD and continues with a scenic drive with views across Cairns City, Suburbs and Estuaries to Copperlode Dam.

We move on to an exclusive 4WD experience (Special access permit for 4WD) that takes us into pristine World Heritage Wet Tropics Rainforest. We cross the Cairns Coastal Range through rainforest which contains some of the oldest species of plants in the world. At the Clohesy River Boardwalk we experience an interpretive overview of the forest from one of our experienced Driver/Guides. Enjoy the wonder and majesty of the giant Clohesy River Fig. We next continue west toward the famous “Savannah Way”.

Our next stop is one of Australia leading Coffee Plantations “Jaques” which includes a short movie presentation followed by a delicious morning tea. Kuranda “The village in the sky” is our next destination. You will have options here that include a visit to the “Butterfly Sanctuary”, “Kuranda Koala Gardens” (both at your expense) or to simply browse through the village and its varied shopping options. We the enjoy lunch together before heading to Skyrail.

Skyrail Rainforest Cableway allows for a unique journey of 7.5 Klm above the canopy of world heritage rainforests, mountains and spectacular coastal views. You will enjoy two optional stops along the way that include Barron Gorge and the summit of Red Peak before arriving at the Caravonica Base Station where your personal Driver/Guide will greet you on arrival.

After a truly unique experience you will be returned to your accommodation with wonderful memories (and great photos)

Enjoy tropical rainforest bush walks, a swim in the cool refreshing mountain streams and pools. Enjoy wonderful cooking in our al fresco restaurant overlooking the world heritage rainforest.
